All Green Loon® mulch is made locally at our RES facilities in Eagan and Denmark Township, MN. The mulches are made to the standards and specification of landscaping professionals, giving both the professionals and consumers better quality mulch without the middleman markups. Green Loon® bagged mulch contains the same mulch that is available in bulk, eliminating  concerns about matching mulch purchased in bulk or bag used in previous applications.

Our RES sites sort, screen and process all the types of Green Loon® mulch. Unique materials are used to create each type of mulch. Some of the raw materials are sourced locally and some come all the way from Canada.

All brush brought to the RES sites for recycling is screen and processed, and only the highest quality organic material is made into mulch. once it as been screened and sorted the brush is fed into a huge tub grinder where it is ground down into our double shredded hardwood mulch.

The material for Green Loon® Custom Colored mulch is sourced from the tree landscaping companies that remove residential trees and turn them into wood chips. We finely grind the wood chips and add a natural vegetable coloring agent to create the finished products.

All other Green Loon® mulches are screened and sorted by our high tech grinding machinery. It can sort wood pieces into fine, medium, and course. The pieces are then ground into the fine grade or professional quality much needed for landscaping.
