Gertens Tote Delivery

Gertens now offers convenient, local delivery in large tote bags of a variety of our landscape supplies such as mulch, soil, compost, sand, and salt . Below is a guide to how our delivery program works and important reminders when planning a project and placing your order.


About Tote Delivery:

  • Gerten's Totes (aka Super Sacks) are now available for delivery for the majority of our bulk landscape supplies. A list of our most-popular totes can be viewed using the red buttons on this page.

  • Delivery charges will vary depending on the number and type of totes ordered.

  • The number of yards or tons included in each tote will be noted on the product page itself. Most totes include one yard of material.

  • Our totes are delivered with a different truck than other products, particularly our BULK products such as Bulk Mulch, Bulk Soils, and Bulk Rock.  If you place an order that has both tote items AND bulk items, you will see a delivery charge in your cart.  That is because your order would require one of our specialized dump trucks to deliver the bulk goods.

  • If you are ordering a tote of landscape products and need additional bagged items delivered for free, consider buying a full pallet of bagged items, many of which are also delivered free. We offer full pallets of mulches, soils, composts, and sand.

  • Some discounts apply to orders of multiple totes of the same product. In those cases, you will see the discount appear on your Checkout page prior to entering your payment information. For a full list of tote discounts, we recommend visiting our Landscape Supply Desk in person.

Tote Shipping Rules & Restrictions:

  • Pallet delivery is only available in a select area in and around the Twin Cities. Our delivery footprint varies by the season, and to determine if we offer delivery in your area, simply add a product to your cart, enter your shipping address at checkout and see if a Local Delivery option appears.

  • Large deliveries, orders with multiple products, and alley deliveries may involve capacity limits that could require additional delivery charges that may not be reflected at checkout. If this situation applies, you will be contacted to discuss additional delivery charges. If an additional fee is required, we will always ask for your approval before fulfilling the order and will also give you the opportunity to cancel.

  • There are NO RETURNS allowed on totes, palletized or bulk items. The only exception is in cases of errors such as an incorrect product delivered.
