Description

Common Lilac | Syringa vulgaris 'Common Purple'

This variety is an excellent choice for a fragrant, low hedge, as it is perfect to fit in small spaces. Re-blooming lilac will offer sweet-scented flowers in spring and continue on and off until the first frost. Prefers organically rich, moist, well-drained soil in full sun.

Planting Depth: 1 Inches
Bulbs per Square Foot: 1

Tolerates light shade but will bloom best in full sun. Has good tolerance for urban conditions. Prune if necessary immediately after flowering. Prompt removal of faded flowers before seed set will increase blooms for the following year.
