Description
Beta vulgaris (Leaf Beet Group) 'Bright Lights'
Closely related to beets, this variety is excellent for both ornamental and culinary purposes; arching, crinkled green leaves are supported by leaf stalks of red, yellow, orange, and white, create a colorful edging; leaves and stalks are great for salads. Grow in moist, light, fertile, organically-rich, well-drained soils in full sun to light shade during cooler tempuratures. Fresh young leaves and leaf stalks are noted for having excellent texture and taste.
