How do I take care of my tree roses? Is there special winter care?

Tree roses are not hardy enough to stay outside in the winter but don’t bring them inside your house because they can be finicky and hard to keep happy. Keep them outside till Thanksgiving and then bring them into your garage and care for them there.

A cross between our native Eastern Cottonwood and the European black poplar, this fast-growing poplar tree, was selectively bred for nearly 30 years by UMN researchers. Under good conditions it grows up to 10 ft per year, reaching 75 ft tall at maturity with a 40 ft spread. For landowners it’s great for privacy screens, wildlife, windbreaks and more AND it’s cotton-less! Hardy from Zones 3 – 6.

Due to its fast growth and aggressive root system it’s best not plant InnovaTree near power lines, roadways, or buildings.
