Features & Attributes

Meyer Lemon features showy clusters of fragrant white star-shaped flowers with buttery yellow eyes at the ends of the branches from early spring to late winter. Its attractive glossy oval leaves remain dark green in color throughout the year. The yellow oval fruit is edible and has a tart taste and a juicy texture. Note that in general, it can be difficult to get plants to reliably produce indoors; this may be a challenge best reserved for experienced gardeners.

This is a multi-stemmed evergreen houseplant with an upright spreading habit of growth. This plant may benefit from an occasional pruning to look its best.

When grown indoors, Meyer Lemon can be expected to grow to be about 7 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 6 feet. It grows at a medium rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 50 years.
