Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota (January 21, 2021) – Gertens Family of Businesses, a leading Garden Center, Greenhouse, Nursery, Landscape Supply, Commercial Turf Supply, Feed Store and Feed Mill in the Twin Cities, announced today they are acquiring UFC Farm Supply in Maple Plain, a division of United Farmers Coop.
Gertens is a third generation, family run business and currently operates Spike’s Feed, Seed and Pet Supply stores throughout the western Twin Cities, E J Houle’s in Stillwater and Forest Lake, a feed mill in Delano and Gertens Garden Center in Inver Grove Heights.
We remain committed to offering the highest quality feed, seed, lawn, garden and pet supplies with exceptional service and to retain those long-term relationships with customers and staff.
UFC Farm Supply will remain open and all employees will be offered a position after the transaction has been finalized, which is expected to happen in February.
