Outdoor furniture cushions are not waterproof. Cushions are water-resistant or “hydrophobic,” meaning that small amounts of water will bead up and roll off the cushion. If there is a passing drizzle, you should be able to brush the water off the fabric with your hand. However, water will penetrate the cushions during rain. If a cushion becomes wet, remove the casing (if there is a zipper) and lay in the sun to dry.
