Description

Autumn Spice Igloo Chrysanthemum | Chrysanthemum 'Autumn Spice Igloo'

Other Names: Garden Mum, Dendranthemum

Unlike annual mums, the Igloo series are hardy to zone 5. Their domed habit creates a mound 2 ft tall by 2.5 ft wide. Blooming in June and again in September and lasting well into frost! Butterflies love them while deer aren’t attracted. Mass them in mixed borders with ornamental grasses, asters and sedums.

Fiery red blooms with a yellow center completely cover a mound of strong stems. No pinching needed. Plant in full sun and enjoy a beautiful addition to your autumn displays, borders and beds.

Note: if planting in a zone 4 garden, add additional mulch heading into winter and, if necessary, water until the ground freezes.
