Ctenanthe oppenheimiana

A lovely pink toned, variegated plant, and less of a drama queen compared to others in the Prayer Plant family. Leaves will dramatically fold upwards at night, and reopen the next morning with the sunrise. This plant likes bright, indirect light, and is a fast growing plant that can grow up to 3 feet high and 4 feet wide. Also goes by the name "Never Never Plant".

Watering with distilled water or rain water is a must. Keep this plant's soil moist, but not soaked. Small but frequent waterings, and a well draining soil will reduce overwatering. This plant will also benefit from higher humidity and warmer tempuratures.

Tricolor prefers an evenly moist, aerated soil mix. Fertilize very lightly during the growing season. Repot every year to refresh the soil and to adjust the pot size for this plant's rapid growth.

This plant is non toxic and safe to have around pets and humans.
