Details

Establishing a space that attracts songbirds, hummingbirds, and butterflies is really very basic. They need three items: food, water, and shelter. Supplying a bird feeder, bird & butterfly houses, and birdbaths are a good start, but by providing natural food sources you can also enhance the look and feel of your garden.

Song birds will go wild for Coneflowers, Chokeberries, Serviceberries, and Crabapples, and they will love the cover provided by the Spruce tree. Hummingbirds will appreciate the inclusion of their favorite Weigela, Honeysuckle Vine, and Monarda. A variety of both host and nectar plants will keep butterflies fluttering through your garden. They will be drawn to the Butterfly Weed, Coneflower, Asters, Monarda, and Liatris; while the smooth stone path provides a great place for them to bask in the sun after feasting.

All of these materials provide a diverse collection of food, an inviting refuge, and a season full of captivating color, texture, and form.
